Location Chennai, India
Job Description
Own the design, configuration, and implementation of a metadata-driven enterprise Document Management System (DMS) platform, ensuring alignment with metadata models, integration requirements, and system architecture to deliver scalable and efficient document management across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end ownership of system configuration and technical implementation of the DMS platform
- Translation of metadata models and business requirements into functional system structures
- Design and implementation of system integration approaches including APIs and data exchange mechanisms
- Definition of document storage and access architecture
- Configuration of search capabilities and access control mechanisms
- Ensuring system scalability, performance, and long-term reliability
- Limited travel for technical workshops, implementation reviews, and rollouts as required
Education
- University degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Relevant certifications or training in enterprise systems, cloud platform technologies, or integration technologies (e.g. Microsoft, AWS, OpenText, SharePoint, MuleSoft, or equivalent)
Technical & Complementary Skills
- Strong knowledge of system configuration, integration concepts, and security models
- Hands-on understanding of Content Services Platforms, DMS, or ECM systems
- Technical understanding of metadata structures, classification principles, and document lifecycle management
- Experience with cloud-based environments and modern system architectures
- Familiarity with information management standards and best practices
- Ability to bridge business and technical perspectives — translating governance and functional requirements into technical solutions
- Structured and detail-oriented approach to system design and configuration
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to design practical, scalable solutions
- Able to identify and address technical risks proactively
- Clear communicator of complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Fluent written and spoken English
Experience Requirement
- 5+ years in system implementation or enterprise platform roles
- Demonstrated experience with Content Services Platforms, DMS, or ECM systems
- Proven track record implementing and configuring enterprise platforms in complex environments
- Strong background in system integration including APIs and data exchange mechanisms
- Experience working in cloud-based environments and modern system architectures
- Demonstrated ability to translate functional and governance requirements into technical solutions
- Experience operating in cross-functional and global project environments
